The Reframe

In November 2023, I made a decision that felt both radical and terrifying: I walked away from a well-paying, high-profile job to rest and heal. On the surface, I was thriving— several degrees, two children, a school I founded, policies I shaped, and laws I helped bring to life. I was celebrated, respected, and appreciated. But amidst the accolades, I was exhausted. My mind and body were screaming for relief, my spirit dulled by the relentless grind. The success I’d worked so hard for had come at an unspeakable cost: my wholeness.

Walking away wasn’t easy. It felt like freefalling into the unknown, but it was a leap I had to take. What I discovered during this time wasn’t just clarity—it was a new way of being. A way of thinking about life, work, and success that shifted everything.

I call it The Reframe.

Why The Reframe Is Needed

Let’s be honest: we live in a world that worships overwork. Hustle culture glorifies exhaustion and treats rest like a luxury rather than a necessity. For women, the expectations are compounded. We’re taught to carry the world, to push harder, to keep going no matter the cost. Rest? That’s selfish. Pausing? That’s failure. And so, we burn out, we disconnect, and we live lives that are more about surviving than thriving.

But what if it doesn’t have to be this way? What if we challenged this toxic narrative? What if we reframed the way we think about work and rest altogether?

The Reframe is a direct response to this culture of overwork. It’s not just a shift in mindset; it’s a lifestyle overhaul—a bold rejection of the idea that our worth is tied to our productivity. It’s about reclaiming our humanity, redefining success, and creating a sustainable way of living that prioritizes joy, rest, and intentionality.

What The Reframe Is:

The Reframe isn’t just another self-care routine. It’s not about bubble baths, candles, or one-off moments of relaxation. This is about a fundamental shift in how we live and work. At its core, The Reframe is about placing living—truly living—at the center. It’s about seeing work not as an endless grind but as purposeful sprints. It’s about creating space to breathe, reflect, and reconnect with what truly matters.

This is a framework for those who are tired of feeling like life is slipping away while they’re buried in deadlines and to-do lists. It’s for anyone ready to trade burnout for balance and to rediscover the joy that comes with intentional living. The Reframe challenges the notion that rest is the opposite of work and instead embraces rest as the foundation for impactful, meaningful action.

An Invitation:

This isn’t just my story—it’s a movement. A call to all of us to reimagine what’s possible when we stop chasing and start living. If you’ve ever felt trapped by the grind, if you’ve ever wondered if there’s a better way, The Reframe is for you.

Join me as I share more about this journey. Together, let’s challenge the status quo, embrace rest as a radical act, and build lives that sustain us. It’s time to reframe work, rest, and success—not just for ourselves, but for the world our children will inherit.
